Here's how you're protected
Your loan payments1 or loan balance may be cancelled if:
- You’re actively working as a permanent employee2 and you involuntarily lose your job or become disabled due to an injury or illness
- You’re hospitalized for 48 hours or more
- You take an unpaid leave of absence for 14 days or more to take care of a family member
- You’re diagnosed with a terminal illness, with less than 12 months to live3
- You’re the victim of an accidental dismemberment3
- You or one of your dependents dies3
